Why did you write this book?
It’s my attempt to speak the truth? I wrote it firstly for myself, we teach what we need to learn.
I wanted a book like this ten years ago, when I was travelling to work on a tram, looking at many unhappy faces and realising that I was disheartened as well.
Is this as good as it gets? In 1996 I had a brain haemorrhage which had me in Melbourne’s St Vincent hospital for a few weeks followed by several months of rehabilitation. Once I returned to my old job as an Accountant, I started the questioning.
What questions did you ask?
Well the usual ones, why am I here? Why me, why, why, why? The icing on the cake was when I had recovered well enough to be promoted to my boss’ job as Group Accountant. Couldn’t they see I hated this job? Who was in control here? Which mountain was I climbing? I used to watch the people through my office window down below sailing on the lake; and asked what sort of person gets to sail their boat every Wednesday afternoon? Why wasn’t this me?
So what did you do?
I quit my job, moved to the beach and set up a catering company which I love, and through doing so I realised that all power is within.
All power is within? Huh?
Well personal development works on one level, but once you tap in to the universal knowledge we all have access to, then greater power is working in line with you.
And The Book of Today’s?
These pages have become my affirmations, my guidance to keep me focused on my highest purpose.
Who should read it?
Nobody should read it, though many may choose to. It’s written for seekers, anybody who has questions about their purpose, anybody who wants to be reminded of the beauty and love we can all share. Anybody who wishes to exist in a reality greater than commercialism and self interest.
Whats inside?
Every page has a statement in the now, so when you are travelling on that tram, towards that job or thing you dread, perhaps by letting your hands turn to a chosen page, you will recognise the wonder and blessing of that moment just for you.
